Local Attractions

There is plenty to do and see when visiting South Devon and many of these attractions aren't very far away from Stanborough Farm at all due to our central location.

We are more than happy to answer any questions you may have about the different attractions around us whilst you are planning your days activities over breakfast.

Dartmoor

From walking up the many Tors to visiting Dartmoor Prison in Princetown, there is plenty to do whilst visiting this wonderful National Park. Enjoy the scenery as you grab an ice cream and watch the Dartmoor Ponies.

South Devon Beaches

There are so many beautiful beaches to explore in South Devon. Many are perfect for that beach picnic and a dip in the sea (Blackpool Sands, Thurlestone) but you can also enjoy a walk along the many coastal paths such as Torcross to Beesands.

Cream Teas

Having a traditional Devon Cream tea is a must whilst visiting. There are plenty of lovely tea rooms on Dartmoor but here are some other popular places to try; The Dartmouth Marina Hotal, Avon Mill Garden Centre and Angels at Babbacombe.

Our local towns

Dartmouth's beautiful harbour and picturesque streets, Totnes' popular market (Fridays & Saturdays) and independent shops, Kingsbridge's beautiful estury and Salcombe's fantastic views. All with good pubs and resturants too.

Round Robin

The Round Robin is a great way to travel around South Devon. Throughout the day, you will visit Paignton, Dartmouth and Totnes by travelling by boat, steam train or bus between them. A great experience and one famous in the area.

National Trust Properties

There are many National Trust properties to enjoy in South Devon. Greenways (The home of Agatha Christie), Coleton Fishacre & Overbecks near Salcombe to name just a few.
